Beauty In Destruction

In and out, that has been my day. Three huge piles in the pastures of downed limbs were burned by hubby and Andrew. One small pile burned in the yard while cleaning house, doing laundry, cooking lunch and dinner.

These beautiful peacock colors appeared in a half burned stick.

Even the fire was beautiful.

There's nothing quite like a fire to calm the soul. I love the color of the wood. Was that birch?

Okay, please don't think I'm a pyromaniac and send the white coats to my door, but I love pictures of fire and think that it is soooo pretty!

Fire is so powerful, it's so easy to be drawn into it's mezmerizing movement as it devours everything in it's path....
