Sky Watch With Darkness

A lake lay before me
The land touched the sky
I thought of darkness
I wanted to cry
Why does the gloom
Wrap itself as if to stay
Just often enough
to keep completeness away

Opposition in all things. I just had a thought (amazing huh?), what if I love the dark gloomy because I know I will really appreciate the following bright light???? Profound-I know:)
Thanks for making me think;)

That's a fabulous looking sky-and the poetry matches it beautifully. Well said.

But even the dark sky and water is beautiful in its own way. Your thoughts are deep and meaningful.
