Thursday's Things In A Row

I thought I'd do things differently today
and show how we do it the farmer's way.
We measure our pepper just for fun
The lines on a ruler are my rows
just one.
We count our tomatoes on the vine
If it would rain, they'd be just fine.
We count our chickens as they hatch
the chickens are mixed so none match.
We pray to the clouds as they drift away
No rain for us for months and days.

Show your rows at Pat's
She's lots of fun to visit
and that is that.

Love your images. Sending you some of our rain now. We have had the sky open up and soak us all day long in Melbourne Australia. Rain will come. We wished for it not so long ago. Our state (Victoria) even has a desalination plant that is being constructed as I type this comment, all secondary to the drought we suffered.
Take care.

I always love your pictures!! I'll just pray that the sun, moon, the clouds and the stars all line up for you to get rain! Enjoy your Thursday!

Gail,
The clouds came, the clouds went, no rain :-( Once again, time to say our prayers.

Love that shot of the chicken and the egg (with the little chick in the background). What, did he escape?

And tell me, you should know, what DID come first, the chicken OR the egg? You live on a farm. You should know the answer!

I think that you could easily do something like what my sister did on an old window. You could paint!

I would send you buckets of rain if ever any came my way- it just spits and sputters here! I think we had .07 inch the other morning. :(

Always very nice to see what new things in a row you come up with.

Between the garden, the chicks n the sky
You've managed to make me say, "OH MY"
Do hope the raindrops come real soon
And Gail will be singing a happier tune :)

It would be nice to see those tomatoes ripen. We have lots of rain and it's too bad that I can't share some with you. It seems we both get too much of one thing or another. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you. xox

I bet I could learn to like eggs if I could eat them that fresh. I get mine at the grocery store, a few aisles over from the chickens--also not great.

p.s. so glad you're keeping the chair.

Now you've got me thinking about fried green tomatoes!

That little chick is so cute.

Hope you get some much needed ran soon. Lately we are getting dark clouds, lighting and thunder but no rain. Just fires in the fields after the lightning strikes.

Hi Gail ~~ Here is pulling for some rain for you. We've had our quota the last couple of days here in the Houston area. I will send some your way.
..
BTW, I have pickled green tomatoes in my blog today.
