a tale of tails, tenacity, and tedium, as told by me, usually barefoot and bellowing

Mega Millions

I'll not buy a Hummer
A Rolls or a Cadillac
Give me a shiny pickup
To haul stuff in the back.

I might build a barn or two
Or bring my horses back
I'll not build a castle
'Cause I kinda like my shack.

I might change the cash to gold
Bury in the ground but with my memory
I would forget
And it'd never be found.

The Mega Millions was so big
I couldn't write it once
Did you know you must buy a ticket?
I feel like quite the dunce.

Well, you can't win if you don't enter.
I'd donate a lot of it. Wouldn't build a big house either - what would I do with all that room but fill it with junk.
I confess - I would splurge and buy a Bugatti sports car though...

love this one and also fully understand every word of it. i am with you on no castle, i like shacks best of all..
a shack on a beach would be nice. since we don't buy those tickets we will not win, but if we did win, bob wants a hummer... i want a new Kia Soul... to park in front of the new old shack..

I'd be coming down your road, with your horses in tow behind me and a big bag of money just for you. I would also buy a truck, well darn, I gotta buy the ticket first too. Loved the poem Gail - have a great day, eh

From time to time I partake in the ticket buying with my thoughts leaning towards college money and sandy beaches. Oma Linda

I buy a ticket every month and would pay off my debts. Then I would come see you and shoot the breeze with you on the porch.

Love your poem. The best things in life are the simple things that we love and are most useful - just like hubbys :)

Awesome poem, Gail. :-)
We didn't buy a ticket, either.

If the weatherman is right, you may not have that snow come this weekend. ;-)

Supposed to get to near 80 tomorrow!

Have a great Friday, Gail. ♥

Another remised opportunity…

PS. I loved the part about bringing the horses back. Sometimes I wish that for you.

They don't sell them here in Nevada, so no chance of winning! If I ever did win something like that, an animal rescue is first on my list! Our community does not have one!
