The Moon At Poetry Jam

As the moon
Pulls the tide
It seeks
My blood
Causing it to rise
And boil
With the call
Of lunacy.

I howl
The moon smiles
Knowing the pull of years
Continues in the blood
Of my blood
Howling
We sing to the moon
Bathed in her light.
For Poetry Jam and the moon.

Well, this kind of reminded me of the old Wolfman movies. (Blood rising, boiling, the pull of the time, the call to lunacy.) They used to really scare me, but they are tame compared to horror movies now. An intriguing write.

And this is true, too! Hence the word Lunacy! We know it affects the tides, and a good bit of our bodies are water, this is what I think.

When I worked in a seniors facility, we noticed things went a little goofy when there was a full moon.........I love "Howling We sing to the moon Bathed in her light."

I think that when I see the full moon and I know the full moon does affect people and animals. The howling just comes naturally - a release of pure energy "Howling WE sing to the moon - Bathed in her light." Love it.

Interesting--the full moon and lunacy, etc. I never really took that seriously but apparently others have experienced the full moon making people unsettled as you describe.

Interesting how some people seem to be more affected by the full moon than others.

There you go. I knew you could do it. I was just waiting for it to happen. Thank you very much!

As a retired teacher, I can tell you that a full moon and lunacy go hand in hand.

The moon does pull at me too. We have howled a time or two. :-) My oldest was born during a full moon, the ward was full! Apparently, amniotic tides are affected too!
