a tale of tails, tenacity, and tedium, as told by me, usually barefoot and bellowing

Remodeling

For years the other side of the yard
was hand made recycling bins...one for glass sorted by color, one for cans.
Mom and Dad would wait til they had a truck load and recycle them.
We took a while to get all those things recycled but we did and now we can repair what is left. The back side of this fence has been neglected.  Last week I decided a change was over due.
I began by removing the wire (saving it to use elsewhere)
and clearing overgrowth.
Timber!
Could not save this post, rotted at the ground.
Had to set a "new" one.
The corner where the snake was found is stacked and thinned.
All clear except for burning the brush.
Now we can simply mow with no more trimming nor wondering what stump we might hit thanks to the saw.  In the spring tulips, lilies will bloom with a Crepe Myrtle blooming later.  I'm declaring one more back breaking spot done with material on hand

That's a back breaking job for sure and it looks so nice with your finished product. We been doing a lot of scraping, painting, staining and my carpenter is here to finish the new front around the dormer windows on top of house. This is almost the last leg of repair. Now only the back wall of the house remains, which is wood, so I must make a decision, to remove old boards and replace and stain new, or put siding. Its the north side, so takes a beating in winter. I am thinking the siding would be wise, with no more scraping n painting and the harsher weather can beat away at the siding and still look good. H-m-m Have a great day and hugz to M. I haven't been on much of late, as so busy with summer projects and summer projects, rally's and festivals. Our summers are so short I am out a lot.

now i know why you are worn to a frazzle.. what a job, and it does look great now... shady place to sit but i would be thinking of that snake, even though it has departed this earth... it might have a spouse or siblings or children... hope you are taking a day or rest today

Very nice job. You can be proud of this, as you recover.

You are a magician when it comes to taking something "needy" and making it something beautiful with what you have on hand. My applause for a job not only well done but also done with heart. xoxo Linda

I love improving my property. What a place needs most is elbow grease, so that reminds me . . . it's time to get off the computer and outside where the morning air is fresh and cool. Thanks for your inspiration:)

Really hard work I am sure but isn't it rewarding to accomplish a task you've wanted to tackle!
Well done!

Well done. Taking what you have and making it something really nice. Sure beats throwing away and buying new.
