The Koi troll in clear waters
The more I looked the more unnatural it seemed
So I started over
More moss and some rocks rearranged.
My top rock with a hole feeds into my new holey rock.
The water then runs over a volcanic rock
into a small pool
where the water runs through that rock's hole into the stream.
The water runs completely through moss
that works as a natural filter for the water garden.
None of the inhabitants are complaining.
The frog even seemed pleased with his rusty toolbox full of moss.
Shabby chic meets a water garden.

Rearranging all those rocks had to have been a job. It it just beautiful. So Peaceful. The moss is perfect.
That looks pretty good to me! My little backyard pond and waterfall used to be pretty, until the DNR outlawed water hyacinth in Wisconsin. Now it's algae-covered. I like your arrangement, especially the elephant!

I think it looks lovely, and I would love to have one. I wouldn't dare ask hubby to put one together at the moment, as he is up to his ears in plantings in our new planting beds.

The frog's tacklebox is not being used anyway, with no fishing allowed. It is a very nice water garden. I agree that is seems well balanced.

I am surprised those water lovin' dogs of yours don' go fishing....
It's looking very good! I had to put up a no fishing sign also to try to keep my grand daughter from fishing. It didn't work! A fishing line made up of linked together paper clips and worm pieces kept her happy for hours. Nofish were caught!

Your water garden always amazes me. It's gorgeous, and well thought out. Having a natural filter (moss) makes the water enjoyable for the fish, and humans if needed.
